Let's make McGill feel like home for everyone.
I'm running because student life should be vibrant, welcoming, and genuinely fun. As VP Internal, I want every student, no matter their faculty, background or language, to feel like there's a real place for them at SSMU.
Hey everyone! I'm Anna, an Engineering student running to be your 2026–2027 VP Internal. As your former Engineering Representative at SSMU, I got a first-hand look at how SSMU really works. All the rules, the decision-making, and just how much can change when students' voices are genuinely heard. Along the way, I've led Model UN delegations, served as a scout chief, been a Frosh leader, and worked as a MERTW coordinator. All those past and new experiences taught me how to organise, lead, and turn big events into spaces that bring people together.
I'm running for VP Internal because I believe SSMU should make every student feel seen and included. Events should be welcoming, affordable and fun no matter your faculty, background or budget. You deserve a student government that listens, communicates clearly and builds a community you'll actually want to be part of.
Let's make McGill a place where everyone feels at home. A place where showing up always feels worth it.
VP Internal is the heartbeat of SSMU's community. Beyond planning events, it means keeping students informed through communications like the listserv, welcoming first-years through Orientation Week and maintaining the bridge between current students and alumni. It's a role about connection and I want to make that felt.
Every idea on my platform comes from real student feedback. The plebiscite told us what you want and I want to make it happen.
Bilingual. Sober-friendly. Accessible. Every event starts with: how can every student attend, feel welcome and genuinely enjoy this.
Clear, timely, bilingual communication so every student, not just the ones already plugged in, knows what's happening and feels invited.
These are ideas I'm genuinely excited to explore, grounded in what students said they wanted in last year's plebiscite. They're aspirations I'd work hard to bring to life, in collaboration with the committees and teams that make events happen.
A winter outdoor celebration with live music, food and the best of Montréal's winter culture brought right to campus. Welcoming, festive, and designed for everyone to enjoy.
New · WinterFree workshops that tackle food insecurity while building real life skills and community. Practical, meaningful and open to all, because learning to cook well shouldn't depend on what you can afford.
Wellness · AccessibilityAn inter-faculty tournament where every faculty competes: sports, games, and cabin-style activities so there's genuinely something for everyone, from the competitive athlete to the person who just loves a good games night.
Inter-Faculty · SportsFrom animal therapy days to mindfulness workshops and stress-relief pop-ups, a recurring series of wellness events timed around exam season, because your mental health matters just as much as your grades.
Wellness · Mental Health · Exams"Every student deserves to see themselves in at least one SSMU event this year."
Inclusivity in event planning isn't something you bolt on at the end. It's how you design from the very beginning. That means thinking about language, budget barriers, accessibility, and social comfort before the poster ever goes up.
Every event I organise will have a clear answer to: how can every student attend, feel welcome, and genuinely enjoy this?
Former Legislative Councillor. I understand how SSMU works and can get moving from day one.
Creative programming that goes beyond the usual, with fresh ideas designed to bring more students together.
Bilingual, sober-friendly and accessible. Inclusion is built into how I plan, not added after.
Real ideas, not vague promises. A genuine plan and the drive to follow through on it.
Whether it's about my platform, an idea you'd love to see happen, or just a quick hello, I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
